Changing and resetting your account password whether you have forgotten it or still know it
How do I reset my Sony Entertainment Network account password?
Occasionally you may need to reset your password. This may be because you would like to change it to optimise account security or because you have forgotten it.
IMPORTANT - To reset your password you need the following:
Your correct date of birth as used when you created your Sony Entertainment Network account.A valid, accessible email address used for your Sign-in ID. If you have forgotten your email account password, reset it before attempting to reset your Sony Entertainment Network account password.Access to an internet browser on PC, Mac or a mobile device.If you do not have one or more of these requirements:
If you are over 18 and have a master account email us from your Sign-in ID email address if you have access to it or from another accessible email address.
If you are under 18 you are not allowed to hold a master account. Therefore, ask your parent or guardian to contact us for assistance.
When contacting us in either situation, please provide the following information:
Online IDSign-in IDA copy of your ID. For example your passport or drivers license.
Once we have reset your password, we recommend setting a Question & Answer on your account and verifying your email address. You can do this by signing in to your account on PC and going to 'Security' on the Account Details page. This means that you can reset your password using either your date of birth or the answer to your question.

To change your forgotten password on the web via PC, mobile phone or tablet:
Go to the Sony Entertainment Network account sign-in page and click on ‘Trouble signing in’? > ‘I forgot my password’. Enter the requested information. You will be emailed a secure link which expires 24 hours after it is sent. If the link expires please follow steps 1 and 2 for it to be re-sent. When you follow the secure link and fill in the requested information, you will be forwarded to a page where you will be asked to choose a new password and confirm it. You can now sign-in to your account using your new password.
To change your password on PC, mobile phone or tablet from Account Management:
Sign-in to your account. Select the Account tab and click on the Account Details link on the left of the screen. Click Change Password in the ‘Security’ section of the ‘Account Details’ page.
Choose a new password and confirm it. You can now sign-in to your account using your new password.

I have not received a password reset email - what should I do?
If you have not received the password reset email this may be because it has been filed in your spam folder by your email provider. To ensure you receive the password reset email, please add firstname.lastname@example.org and email@example.com to your address book.
